After a day working on a photoshoot around the premises of the Alila Seminyak Resort, we treated ourselves to a dinner at their restaurant, which is located right by the beach. We were warmly welcomed by the team and seated at a table with a great view of the ocean just right during sunset time.
After studying the menu, we selected a few dishes to share. After all, we were 5 hungry ladies and wanted to try all the sharing dishes. Here is what we ordered: Siomay, Squid with minced Pork, Tuna and Sambal Matah Salad, Char Siew Bao and Perkedel Jagung. Without a doubt, everything was very tasty and flavorful. My personal favorite was the Perkedel Jagung (I love fried things, who doesn't).
The Siomay was so good that we ordered another round that's when the Chef came to our table and told us that they were freshly made and he made us Hargao to try as well. The sauce of the Hargao was so good that Michelle cleared it with bread.
After dinner, Carlos the Bartender (he prefers the term Bartender over Mixologist) joined us and made us try his cocktail which he created 10 years ago - the Spicy Cha! A Passionfruit Margarita with Peperoncino. And indeed it had a kick of spice and it was very tasty.
If you are looking for a great restaurant with a view, delicious food and cocktails and above all, a very warm and friendly team to make your night extra special, visit the Alila Seminyak for your next holiday getaway.
I'll tell you all about our photoshoot in the next post! Stay tune!
